Singer-Brown steps back, Konkol joins team
By Brent Frankenhoff
Jensen Center Executive Director
In addition to the seasonal changes, November was a month of external and internal change for the Jensen Community Center as it held a ribbon cutting for the new International Bank of Amherst Terrace (see article on page 1) and experienced changes in personnel. We are excited for the new ideas, new skill sets, and new energy to propel the JCC forward for future generations.
Associate Director Mariah Singer-Brown is embarking on a new career in real estate and will be leaving the staff in March. Her work at the Center over the past seven years has helped to shape the facility into a vibrant and welcoming place. She has helped develop the voice of the Center and has been a creative force in bringing ideas and events to the community to engage a wide variety of interests.
Nikki Konkol has brought her organizational skills, proactive approach, and local contacts to the Center, where she is now handling rentals, volunteer coordination, and event planning. She and her husband, Travis, are life-long Amherst-area residents with four children in the Tomorrow River Schools. She can be reached via email at nikki@jensencenter.org or called at (715) 824-5202.
The Amherst Area Board of Directors is seeking to hire an Associate Director to plan and market high-visibility events and advance the Center’s mission. Please contact Brent Frankenhoff at brent@jensencenter.org if you or someone you know is drawn towards an engaging role in our community and would be interested in joining our collaborative, mission-focused team.
