Amherst Family Dental becomes

LeBouef Family Dental

Amherst Family Dental is literally becoming a family dental clinic with the recent purchase of the practice by Dr. James LeBouef, who will be joined by his son, Fritz, when Fritz graduates from dental school in 2026. The business is changing names as well to LeBouef Family Dental when the senior LeBouef takes over on June 2.

LeBouef told the Spirit, “I have gone to Amherst Family Dental for several years and finally made a decision about my future, choosing to recently retire from the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King.”

Originally from Texas, LeBouef said, “My wife and I are both military veterans and went to college after our Army service. We lived next to the Bacon Farm in Amherst for 13 years until we became empty nesters and moved to our little home in Waupaca, which we have been working on for several years. My dad was a welder, and my wife’s dad was a carpenter, so we certainly grew up learning lots of do-it-yourself skills.”

In addition to his dental work, LeBouef said he likes to ice and mountain climb and has done so for years.

LeBouef assured patients of Amherst Family Dental that a majority of the current staff will be staying on with the change in ownership. Current appointments will be honored, and new appointments can be made at the clinic’s unchanged phone number of (715) 824-3300.
