Registration for Amherst’s Future Falcons Flag Football is now open. Parents are urged to get their registrations in before the September 8 deadline. That’s also the first mini-practice night, starting at 5:30 p.m., when players will meet their coaches and teammates.
The program is open to boys and girls entering grades 4K through second grade from all area schools. The sign- up link is at sites.google.com/view/amherstyouthfootballcheer/home. At that page, click on the menu, and select “Flag Football.”
The cost is $15 per child, and payments can be mailed to P.O. Box 64, Amherst, WI 54406 or brought to the September 8 mini-practice. Coaches will send out a welcome email once teams are complete in early September.
Only three game day Saturdays are scheduled this year—September 10, 17, and 22. All games will be played on the grass fields closest to the Jensen Center north of the turf football field and west of the baseball fields.
Warm-ups for the Saturday games begin at 8:45 a.m., and play begins at 9 a.m. Two 20-minutes halves are played with a five-minute halftime. Games will be played in all types of weather but will be called off due to lightning, so players are asked to dress accordingly.

The Jensen Community Spirit is mailed at no charge to property owners and residents within the Tomorrow River (TR) School District. Residents outside of the school district that have students attending the TR Schools will also receive issues at no charge. Gift and other subscriptions to the Jensen Community Spirit are welcome and can be mailed to addresses in the continental United States for $30 for a one-year subscription. Subscriptions are not refundable but may be transferred.
Subscriptions delivered outside of the continental USA will need to be quoted for additional shipping costs.
