In the Jensen Center Display Case: Original comics art

Original comic book and newspaper comic strip art, along with comics prints and original sketches, from the collection of Jensen Community Center Executive Director Brent Frankenhoff have brightened up the Jensen Center’s lobby display cases in recent weeks. The collection, mostly amassed during his 20-year tenure with Comics Buyer’s Guide, spans the decades from the 1940s to more recent years and includes art from Archie, DC, Marvel, Image, and more. Such newspaper strips as Alley Oop, Joe Palooka, Our Boarding House, and Captain Stubbs and Tippy are also represented. Among the sketches are a Wolverine headshot from Barry Windsor-Smith and a Judge Dredd convention piece by Terry Pavlet. You can view the cases and the other art in our lobby during regular busines hours, currently Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to Noon.
