Michael Perry coming to the Jensen Center April 29

By popular request, the Jensen Community Center has booked author and humorist Michael Perry for an appearance in its theater Friday, April 29, 2022, at 7 p.m.

A New York Times bestselling author, humorist, playwright, and radio show host, Perry’s semi-autobiographical books include Population: 485, Truck: A Love Story, Coop, Visiting Tom, Million Billion, and Peaceful Persistence. Among his other dozen titles are The Scavengers (for young readers) and his novel The Jesus Cow.

Raised on a small Midwestern dairy farm, Perry put himself through nursing school while working on a ranch in Wyoming, then detoured into writing. He lives with his wife and two daughters near New Auburn, Wisconsin, where he serves on the local volunteer fire and rescue service and has a few chickens. He hosts the nationally syndicated Tent Show Radio, performs widely as a humorist, and tours with his band The Long Beds. His live humor albums include “Never Stand Behind a Sneezing Cow” and “The Clodhopper Monologues.” He can be found online at sneezingcow.com.

Doors open April 29 at 6 p.m. with a cash bar and refreshments for sale before the show.

Showtime is at 7 p.m., with an intermission and a book signing/meet & greet with Perry after the show.

Reserved seating tickets are $20 available now exclusively through Brown Paper Tickets at brownpapertickets.com/event/5354138 or at (800) 838-3006. Any remaining seats will be sold at the door the night of the show.
