$70,000 needed to complete 3Stage Expansion Project
At its July 21 meeting, the Jensen Center Board of Directors approved bids from Blenker Construction and other local sub-contractors to begin construction on the third, and final, stage of the 3Stage Expansion Project. The long-overdue backstage and storage space expansion to the Jensen Center’s theater will enhance the Center’s performance and programming capacity, allowing for larger events, better production capabilities, and more opportunities for local arts exposure for all ages.
Community response, with donations of all sizes from $25 to $250,000, has been gratifying for this long-needed set of enhancements to the more than 35-year-old Center. Now, we’re asking our community to help us over the final hurdle. Funding for the basic steel shell is available, but $70,000 is still needed to complete the third phase for occupancy.
Even if you’ve already donated, please consider adding to your donation and, if you have not taken the plunge, please consider it now. All donors who wish to be publicly acknowledged are listed on the Gratitude List in each issue of the Spirit, while donations of $1,000 or more will be acknowledged on a permanent wall marker once the project is fully complete. More information and a donation form can be found elsewhere in this issue.
The 3Stage Expansion project has truly been a grass-roots effort and one that will resonate within our community for years to come!
